Leopard print summer: where to buy the best animal inspired bags, coats and shoes

Given that the weather has temporarily (we hope) pressed pause on flimsy sundresses and their ilk, why not take a sartorial swing at in-between season styling opportunities. Leopard print, which has fashion search engine Lyst has seen a 60 per cent increase since the start of the year, is emerging as the inter-seasonal wardrobe pivot we’ve frankly been calling out for. Ganni, the Copenhagen based titan of guaranteed cool, has made its blotchy leopard print a core concern. Erin O’Connor helpfully showcased its appeal at an event last week pairing her coat with a heavenly languid silk dress in a chic tobacco-shade, giving it just the right amount of punch. See also Jennifer Lawrence at Dior’s cruise show in Scotland where she leaned into the so-called mob-wife aesthetic with a leopard coat e...

Remembering François Hardy, the star who set the eternal style tone for French fashion

The words icon and muse are often touted around the fashion world but it’s still a rare soul that encapsulates the real meaning of those monikers. François Hardy, the French singer who has died at the age of 80 from cancer, was one of a handful of women who set the style tone of the second half of the 20th century, the effect of which continues to resonate. The singer, born in Nazi occupied Paris in 1944, became synonymous with the much touted insouciant Parisian style which was a low-key cocktail of her time spent in swinging London coupled with a pared-back French sensibility. She came to London in the Sixties, recording at Pye Records’ Marble Arch studios and performing at The Savoy. Her melancholic lispish yé-yé style entranced as much as her striking girl next door beauty which captur...

Jude Bellingham is official heartthrob of Euros 2024 with revealing SKIMS campaign for Kim Kardashian

Hearts quietly broke across Britain when Jack Grealish missed out on making the Euros 2024 squad — but Jude Bellingham has arrived to steal the heartthrob crown. He’s a golden boy with a football, as Bellingham arrives in Germany for the championships, he has made sure to draw attention off the pitch, too. Posing for Kim Kardashian’s underwear brand SKIMS, 20-year-old Bellingham has bared all (and kicked a football about) for a new campaign promoting its boxer shorts. Kardashian founded the brand, known for its body shaping womenswear, in 2019 and expanded to offer a men’s range in 2023. SKIMS"The opportunity to be featured in SKIMS Mens latest campaign is incredible. It’s so important for me to have flexibility and comfort when I’m playing and training, or even off-duty, and SKIMS meets ...

Naomi Campbell interview: ‘There are a few people I regret having a go at’

She was late, of course she was late. But then she’s always been late. When she was working for me at Condé Nast ten years ago, when she interviewed the likes of Hugo Chavez, Vladimir Putin, Piers Morgan and Skepta for GQ, she was always coming to my office in Vogue House, and she was never on time. But that was Naomi. She would then sprawl on my sofa, instruct one of my assistants to fetch her a Big Mac, and pour the charm on. Nothing changes. A few weeks ago, she was 90 minutes late for me at the Dorchester, and even though I gave her a hard time when she eventually turned up, I soon gave up. She has this disarming habit of batting her eyes at you, and it works. Of course, it works. She’s Naomi. Source link

Six Senses Crans-Montana review: a serene ski-in, ski-out resort and spa

Six Senses’ wellness cachet too often eclipses the food, which, on the whole, is really good. So good that you’d be forgiven for staying put all week, foregoing the hearty raclette haunts in town to work your way through the menus. Wild Cabin’s is radically seasonal and fairly global, with a Swiss leaning. It hits all the right notes for the high-end palate in a laid-back setting. Alpine light spills in through a glass wall, illuminating the patterned rugs and open-kitchen, where chefs whip up grilled asparagus and miso cream, rosti and salmon tartare starters, and generous, juicy pork belly with seasonal roots and seabass in Champagne sauce. Bodrum EDITION review: is this summer 2024’s coolest hotel?

Yalikavak, a kind of Dubai-on-sea, is either a half-hour walk or five minute taxi ride; marvel at the gleaming promenade and rows of designer stores, which are interspersed with more Michelin-starred eateries (and Salt Bae’s famed steakhouse, Nusr-Et). It’s decidedly new money — and heaps of it — worth a visit for a quick gawp alone. For a more mixed bag, head to Bodrum, where tourists, locals and boating types mingle. Stroll along the marina, grab an ice cream (and, if you’re looking to beef up your wardrobe, a seriously high quality designer knockoff), and blag your way onto a superyacht if you can. Source link

The Shoreditch vintage shop fashion editor’s love

ALL GOOD IN THE ’HOOD Goodhood has long been a Shoreditch institution for those in search of labels beyond the predictable. Having first opened on Coronet Street off Hoxton Square in 2007, then moving to bigger premises on Curtain Road, the Japanese-inspired store is now scaling up again to its new Hanbury Street spot. It promises vintage curations, pop-ups with local specialists as well as its own stylish in-house label, Goods by Goodhood. Founder Kyle Stewart, who has run the store with partner Jo Sindle since its inception, explains: ‘We want to blur the boundaries between community hangout, brand activation space and contemporary multi-brand edit. We work with our east London neighbour Stranger Than Paradise, who look after our record store; they always deliver on vibes. Our friends at...
