The 43-year-old pop star was detained in New York for running a stop sign and failing to stay on the right side of the road. His first court hearing took place on Friday, where his lawyer Edward Burke said police made "a very significant number of errors" in the case. "The most important fact to know about this case is that Justin was not intoxicated and should not have been arrested for DWI," he added. It comes after the museum unveiled a waxwork of the late singer and activist to coincide with the first anniversary of her death. O'Connor was found dead at the age of 56 in her south London home last July. The figure was first unveiled on Thursday as a tribute to the singer, but the museum has now said it will be removed in order to create "a more accurate representation". The 2024 Olympic Games in Paris is officially underway after singer Celine Dion capped off an extravaganza of an opening ceremony on Saturday morning. Moulin Rouge can-can dancers, heavy metal, opera singers, heavy metal, acrobats, Lady Gaga, Serena Williams, Rafael Nadal, Zinedine Zidane, a light show and a hot air balloon, there wasn't a lot the ceremony didn't have. Despite the rain and hours-long event along the River Seine, Paris got its Games underway in full showy fashion. It had been expected to be a unique ceremony and it didn't disappoint. East Sepik governor Allan Bird said the deployment of police into the area the attacks took place was delayed by a lack of fuel. The attacks in three villages near the town of Angoram were reported to have left 26 dead, including women and children, though other sources have said the death toll could be double that. The incident occurred on 16 July, and left almost 400 people displaced.
