Matka King follows the story of a gambling lord, played by Vijay Varma, who undergoes a meteoric rise in the 1960s and 1970s in Mumbai. Prosecutors in Utah said Tuesday that they would not file charges against Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Taylor Frankie Paul following a domestic violence investigation involving Paul and her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen. Police in the Salt Lake City suburbs of Draper City and West Jordan have been investigating claims of domestic violence in 2024 and this February from Mortensen, the father of Paul’s two-year-old son, Ever. Actor Vijay Varma, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming crime drama and thriller series ‘Matka King’, has spoken up on the nuances of his gambling lord, and how he put together the character. In the series, Vijay essays the role of a fictional gambling lord, who operates a string of matkas (gambling pots) across Mumbai. To fine tune his character, Vijay got in touch with a magician, who taught him the card tricks. The actor spoke with IANS during the promotions of the show, and shared how he honed his skills with the card, and spent 10 months with the deck of cards.
