Six Senses La Sagesse: wellness with a Caribbean twist

Gone are the days of political upheaval: Grenada today has turned a corner and is mercifully laid-back. It is a tropical paradise best known for three things: spice, winter sun, and folklore. Of all the spices that grow on the island (the greenest and most fertile of the Lesser Antilles), nutmeg is the queen, featuring on the country’s flag and used in everything from teas to liquors. All around the island, its scent fills the air along with those of cloves, cinnamon and bay leaf. These are medicinal herbs, too: good for the gut and playing a vital role in regulating the circadian rhythm. Though you wouldn’t know it if you came in August for Carnival (or Spicemas), where the heady, camphorous mixture of herbs, drums and rum errs more on the side of rakishness. Source link

RFK Jr. may target vaccines in 2nd Trump presidency, raising health fears – National

A co-chair of Donald Trump’s transition team said Trump supporter Robert F. Kennedy Jr. wants access to federal health data so he can show vaccines are unsafe and lead to them being pulled from the market in a second Trump administration. Howard Lutnick echoed a number of Kennedy’s debunked anti-vaccine talking points in a CNN interview Wednesday, including falsehoods about the vaccine schedule and the disproven theory that vaccines cause autism. Trump has talked often about how Kennedy, who suspended his own presidential bid and endorsed him in August, will have a big role to play if the former president returns to the White House. While Lutnick said Kennedy would not be chosen as secretary of health and human services, he was not specific about what Kennedy’s role might be. Lutnick made t...
