The second season of The Traitors has finally been announced, ending the wait of the fans. After a successful first season, the show hosted by Karan Johar is back with a new season. Ever since the makers announced the new season with a promo a few days ago, all eyes are on the 21 contestants who will be seen in the show this upcoming season.
Shweta Tiwari, Palak Tiwari, Orry and Karan Tacker to enter The Traitors?
While the makers have already announced that actress Mallika Sherawat and comedian Munawar Faruqui will be entering the show, the curiosity around the remaining 19 contestants has been sparking speculations and discussions on the internet.
Amid the chatter, sources have informed mid-day that actress Shweta Tiwari is confirmed as a contestant on the reality show. Along with Shweta, her daughter Palak Tiwari, social media star Orry, and TV actor Karan Tacker will also be entering the show, which is known for its drama, deception and unique format.
The Traitors Season 2
Prime Video recently announced the second season of the reality show, hosted by Karan Johar. They confirmed the show’s return on Saturday, July 25 with a teaser and wrote, “double the dhokha double the drama TheTraitorsOnPrime, New Season, Coming Soon”
The teaser set the tone for the upcoming season as people dressed in red robes and wearing face masks are seen walking and posing on the streets. They are seen carrying daggers as they move through parts of New Delhi and Mumbai, including markets, metro stations, and streets, creating intrigue among passersby, who can be seen capturing them on their phones.

Later, on July 27, the makers shared another teaser featuring Karan Johar, announcing the release date of the upcoming season, and revealing two of the contestants. In the latest teaser, several former contestants from the previous season, including Uorfi Javed, Purav Jha, Ashish Vidyarthi and Elnaaz Norouzi, were seen making a cameo.
Karan Johar first introduced Mallika Sherawat, saying, “She’s known for murder, but will she kill in this game too or…?” He then introduced Munawar Faruqui as the “king of reality TV, all the way from Nagpada”. The filmmaker also revealed that the upcoming season will premiere on August 13, 2026.
