Saanand Verma reveals Gulshan Grover intentionally slapped him in First

Saanand Verma, who plays Saxena Ji in the iconic television series Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain, has claimed that Gulshan Grover aggressively slapped him while filming the web series First Copy, which stars Munawar Faruqui. He went on to say that the slap was not an `acting wala thappad.` Despite his anger, Saanand preferred not to communicate with anyone, choosing to avoid negativity. He referred to Grover as `self-obsessed` man.

Saanand Verma makes a shocking revelation

While talking to Siddharth Kannan, Saanand said, “Gulshan Grover actually slapped me tightly in First Copy, for real. From the inside, I felt like slitting that man’s throat, but I didn’t say anything. I haven’t said anything till date, I’m revealing this for the first time here. He did it intentionally; that wasn’t acting.”

Saanand further alleged that Gulshan did not even offer him a disclaimer before slapping him; otherwise, he would have been prepared for the actual smack. The actor stated that it is critical to warn someone before a true slap to ensure they are aware of it, but Gulshan did not, which Saanand believed was incorrect. He claimed that he wanted to take up a chair and attack Gulshan, but instead he smiled throughout.

The actor claims that he has been slapped thousands of times over his career and feels that no other actor has been slapped more than him. He went on to say that he is well-known for accepting slaps, and that he has been slapped countless times on Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain, but always in a professional manner.

Saanand Verma stated that Anil Kapoor has the grace to apologise after slapping, but not Gulshan. “He is a self-centred individual. He is associated with the picture of a wicked man. “He does all of this to maintain that image,” he said.

On his work ethics

Earlier, Saanand opened up about having a positive perspective towards his work. “I don’t believe in the concept of a bad day,” says Verma with a smile. “Every single day, every moment, every second is created by the Almighty. Everything happens according to His will.”

The actor believes that surrendering to a higher power brings peace and strength. “Once you understand that your success or failure isn’t entirely in your control, life becomes simpler. Everything is God’s doing. Our only job is to focus on our karma — to keep doing what feels right and natural.”
