Reports of violence in Haryana, particularly in the cities of Gurgaon, Sohna, and Manesar

The situation in Gurgaon remains tense following the communal clashes in Nuh. Sporadic incidents of arson attacks, vandalism, and threats by unruly mobs have kept security forces on high alert in certain areas of Gurgaon.

To maintain control and prevent the spread of misinformation, the district administration has taken precautionary measures, including the suspension of internet services in Sohna, Manesar, and Pataudi until further notice. Additionally, all schools have been directed to remain closed for physical classes until August 2 as a safety measure.

On Tuesday, peace meetings were conducted in Sohna, the area where a mob had caused significant unrest the previous day. However, on the same day, around 20 miscreants attacked a 32-year-old housekeeping staff belonging to a specific community at a gated society in Sector 70A. They threatened him and asked him to leave, giving him a deadline to do so.

Later in the day, a larger mob of about 50 individuals, armed with weapons such as iron rods, hockey sticks, and flags, gathered near Vatika Chowk on NH-248A. They proceeded to march on the Sohna-Badshapur Road, showing their arms and causing destruction along the way. The group vandalized 14 shops on the left side of the road, including a meat shop, a car parts shop, and juice shops. The shops’ contents were scattered on the roads, and their signboards and furniture were destroyed.

The authorities and security forces are actively working to restore peace and ensure the safety of the residents. During such sensitive situations, it is essential for everyone to remain calm, adhere to the guidelines issued by the authorities, and prioritize safety and security. It’s advisable to stay informed through official sources and follow local news updates for the latest developments.
