Archana Puran Singh and Parmeet Sethi began a new chapter in their lives by launching a vlog channel on YouTube. Archana`s channel has 991k subscribers since its debut ten months ago, and she is dedicated to it while working full-time on the Kapil Sharma Show. In a recent interview, Parmeet discussed their relationship with Kapil, his penchant for poking jokes at the pair, and how his wife tried something similar in the early 2000s.
Pinkvilla was asked about Kapil`s persistent mocking of Archana and how he frequently uses Parmeet`s own name to do so. When asked if he was aware of this, the actor replied that he doesn`t mind if Kapil cracks jokes at his expense. He stated that the reason for this attitude was that he and his wife used to do something very similar with their own show, Archana Talkies.

“It was no shock that Kapil cracked a lot of jokes on Archana at my expense. Look, the first production house that Archana and I set up was called Archana Talkies, and it used to come on Sony TV. Whatever she was doing in that, Kapil is doing exactly that for his show. It was a talk show with celebrities, and Archana used to do stand-up comedy. We didn’t leave any stone unturned, and we poked fun at everyone,” said Parmeet.
Parmeet revealed that he used to ghost-write for Archana`s stand-up parts. He shared, “I used to ghost-write for Archana’s stand-up set, and I used to supervise the rest of the writing. I find it (Kapil’s jokes) funny, and I find it nice, because it’s difficult to write comedy. The punch needs to be good, and it doesn’t matter who it is directed towards.”
Parmeet Sethi demands royalty from Kapil Sharma
However, Parmeet playfully retaliated against Kapil for using his name too many times and requested monetary compensation for it. He stated, “I keep telling Kapil to start paying me royalty for the show, because I am a character in it without even being present. It`s enjoyable, and I`m glad I can be useful someplace.
The actor also praised Kapil for his comedic timing, admitting that the comedian is like family to him and Archana. “If you have a knack for comedy, then it’s very nice, and when you talk about someone like Kapil, he is a natural; he doesn’t need a script. Moreover, we have ghar-wale rishte (like family) with Kapil, and I can’t put that into better words. He and his wife Ginni are both sweethearts, along with his mother. They are all very homely people, and they love and respect us a lot. We feel the same for them. Our relationship is beyond work,” Parmeet further quipped.
