The Qashqai is a tall car, and that makes getting in and out of it an easier prospect, and the rear side doors open to 90°, which also which helps. Rear headroom is good, even with the test car’s glass roof. Shoulder, knee and foot room aren’t class leading but are otherwise not at all bad. We found the back seat cushion to be a little low. At just over 500 litres with the back seats in place, the boot is a regular shape and a decent size, although once again some rivals have even more space.
