Carnby Kim’s comics are often filled with unique, detailed characters and a building horror that gets stronger with every chapter. Already, one of his works, Sweet Home, was adapted and had favorable reviews. Now, it’s time for someone to jump on his other stories.
Personally, I would love an adaptation of Pigpen. It was my favorite story by Carnby Kim. Pigpen focuses on a man who wakes up on a beach. Though the island is beautiful, the fact that he can’t remember how he arrived on the island, or even who he is, dampens the mood.
As he tries to put the information together, he starts to question everything, including the family that takes him in when he first wakes up. It’s a creepy story that relies a lot on building dread until the end. With a great cast, this would make an excellent live-action adaptation.
