Amazon Prime Video has officially announced that rapper and musician King will be making his acting debut in their upcoming original series, Lukkha. The news was shared by Nikhil Madhok, Director and Head of Originals at Prime Video India, marking an exciting new chapter in King’s creative journey.
King to make debut with Lukkha
Known for his genre-bending music and massive fan base, King now brings his signature energy to the screen with Lukkha—a coming-of-age series packed with music and action. “It’s an extremely exciting show. It’s got King, the rapper who’s making his acting debut,” shared Madhok. “This is a show that was brought to us by two first-time writers. They’re not only the creators, they’re also the writers.”
The multi-genre series features music and action elements with a cast of young performers. “Our experience with them has been so good that both the creators and us are already in conversations to say, what more can we do together,” Madhok says.

Meanwhile, the rapper-singer King dropped another melodious track titled Yeh Zindagi Hai, earlier this morning. ‘Yeh Zindagi Hai’ is a soft, emotional heartbreak track that carries a lot of simplicity. Through the lines, King is describing how his life has become almost lifeless. The track is sung, written, and composed by King himself, while the music is produced by Bharg and mixed and mastered by Hanish Taneja. Yeh Zindagi Hai is the third track from his album Shayad Koi Na Sune. The first two tracks are Sab Be Asar and Speak Softly. The song has simple lines like Yeh zindagi hai/ Katt rahi hai/ Main jee raha hu/ Jaisi bhi hai, which simply touch your heart.
King rose to fame in 2019 with the show MTV Hustle.
