Kylie Jenner, Dua Lipa, Jisoo shine at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week

After the men’s fashion week offerings led the travelling fashion pack from Milan to Paris this January, the best-clad have continued valiantly into haute couture week; one defined by A-list celebrities, high net worth clients, and the most intricately crafted gowns in the world (not to mention most expensive).

When there are £250,000 outfits on the table, anyone sitting front row well understands the assignment: you dress up, wear heels for the 9am show, and you smile for the cameras. So they have for the Spring/Summer 2025 season.

Schiaparelli kicked off proceedings, albeit with less flair than Instagram has become accustomed to. In previous seasons arrivals have brought as much splendour as models on the runway; Doja Cat arrived covered in red Swarovski crystals and Kylie Jenner climbed the steps of the the Petit Palais with a faux-lion head attached to her as a kind of trophy-hunter corsage (most amusing when Carrie Johnson waded into that debate, brandishing her dress “grim”). Less drama this year: Gossip Girl actress Kelly Rutherford joined fellow US actress Gabrielle Union on the f’row.

At Dior, a typically stellar font row sat to applaud Maria Grazia Chiuri’s most recent collection. There was Anya Taylor-Joy, Pamela Anderson, Blackpink star Jisoo, model Karli Kloss and actor Jenna Ortega joining Bollywood sensation Sonam Kapoor, Venus Williams and Bridgerton’s Nicola Coughlan.

Chanel, king of couture, presented a collection without a creative director as it awaits incoming artistic director Matthieu Blazy’s fresh vision. That didn’t ward off guests. Kylie Jenner — tweed mini skirt, midriff exposed — led arrivals, alongside Dua Lipa who made a convincing case for gothic capes. Then came Blackpink’s Jennie Kim, beating both by exposing midriff under her cape. That night, Londoners Poppy Delevingne and Nikolai von Bismarck both attended the Armani Privè collection.
