India clinched a remarkable victory against West Indies in the 3rd ODI, securing a series win with a 2-1

In an exhilarating encounter during the 3rd ODI between India and West Indies at Trinidad, India emerged victorious by a convincing 200-run margin, posting a formidable total of 351/5. With this triumph, India sealed the series 2-1, showcasing their dominance on the cricket field.

In the thrilling series decider held in Tarouba, India exhibited their formidable batting prowess, securing a resounding 200-run victory against West Indies. This victory marked India’s 13th consecutive ODI series win against West Indies since 2006, a testament to their cricketing dominance.

Despite the absence of key players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, India’s batting lineup showcased great depth and talent. Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan, Sanju Samson, and Hardik Pandya played pivotal roles in guiding India to a massive total of 351/5.

Kishan and Gill provided a brisk start, constructing an impressive 143-run partnership in just 19.4 overs. Kishan, although a bit fortunate with some missed chances, displayed aggressive intent and managed to score a quickfire 77 off 64 balls, recording his third half-century in as many matches during the series.

Gill’s innings were equally impactful as he scored 85 runs off 92 balls, but unfortunately missed out on a century. He orchestrated a vital 69-run stand with Samson, who blazed his way to a fifty in just 39 balls, smashing three sixes along the way. Samson’s aggressive approach was well supported by Gill’s calculated stroke play.

India’s lower order also contributed significantly, with Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya playing some crucial cameos. Pandya’s late surge propelled him to an unbeaten 70 off 52 balls, boosting India’s total.

In response, West Indies struggled from the outset, thanks to a brilliant spell from Mukesh Kumar. He claimed three early wickets, dismissing Brandon King, Kyle Mayers, and Shai Hope in quick succession. The top order collapse left West Indies reeling at 17 for 3.

Jaydev Unadkat, playing his first ODI in almost ten years, quickly made an impact by taking a wicket, followed by Shardul Thakur, who also scalped a couple of key wickets to further dent the West Indian batting lineup.

Despite a brief resistance by Alzarri Joseph and Gudakesh Motie, West Indies’ chase eventually fizzled out, falling to the variations of Kuldeep Yadav. Thakur’s devastating bowling ultimately wrapped up the innings, securing a memorable victory for India.

With this convincing win, India displayed their supremacy in limited-overs cricket, continuing their streak of dominance over West Indies in ODI series dating back to 2006.
