If you’re on Android, there’s a good chance you’re using one of Samsung’s Galaxy series phones. These phones are fast, reliable, get frequent updates and support, and depending on your model, pack best-in-class cameras. The latest Galaxy phones, at least if you’re not counting the ones that fold, are from the Galaxy S25 series. These have the latest and greatest Samsung mobile tech, and because the Galaxy S26 series isn’t expected to release until early next year, they’ll still be relevant for a good while yet. Labor Day has deals on every S25 you can buy, which means it’s a great time to invest in a Galaxy S25.

The most affordable Galaxy at the moment is the base Galaxy S25. This phone comes with a special Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip, which takes an already fast processor and specializes it for Samsung’s device. It’s also got a 6.2-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a generous camera system for a base model, with a 50MP main lens. Memory is 12GB and storage starts at 128GB.

The Galaxy S25+ is the next step up and has most of the same specs as the standard model, but ups the screen size to 6.7-inches. It also takes the max resolution from 2,340 x 1,080 to 3,120 x 1,440, and ups the base storage to 256GB.

What do you think so far?

For Pro users, the Galaxy S25 Ultra keeps the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip, but changes just about everything else. That means it has an even larger 6.9-inch screen (although resolution stays the same as on the S25+), but the real upgrade is to the camera system. The main camera on this phone is 200MP, which is the highest you’ll find on a smartphone.

Finally, there’s the Galaxy S25 Edge, which is sort of like a cross between an S25 Ultra and an S25+. Its screen matches the S25+, but its rear camera keeps the 200MP main lens. Unfortunately, though, it does lose a telephoto lens—something all of the other phones on this list have—and its ultrawide lens is 12MP (like on the S25+) as opposed to 50MP (like on the Ultra). As a consolation, it is the thinnest phone on this list, at 0.22-inches thick.
