Jesus Green is long and narrow, with a 91.4m length (or 100 yards in old money). There is no shallow end. We arrived early one evening towards the end of August and found three decently sized lanes dappled by the descending sun. The water is unheated but there is a cylindrical wooden sauna and hot showers sited in round, striped buildings resembling medieval jousting tents (this is Cambridge after all). Poolside lockers and wooden, open-air changing cubicles complete the look. The poolside Basket Room Café serves drinks and snacks to keep you on the move. For users with disabilities, there are a poolside hoist, accessible toilet and changing area. In 2021, the season was extended to October and there are plans to open all year round.
