The 80s Children’s Movie With One Of The Decade’s Scariest Scenes

The Adventures of Mark Twain sees Tom, Huck, and Becky find themselves seeing the scenes from “Eve’s Diary,” The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, and other stories and novels play out. At Twain’s encouragement, the three curious children find themselves ushered into a scene from his story “The Chronicles of Young Satan”, which is where the terror begins. Tom, Huck, and Becky are greeted by a robed figure that, while headless, uses his hand to hold a mask where his face should be. The mask is plain white with large holes for eyes and a thin mouth, existing somewhere in between the Greek masks for comedy and tragedy. The figure introduces himself as Satan, and invites the children into his realm to play. Source link

Popular Sports Anime Getting Season 2 And Fans Are Hyped

Blue Lock is set to air on October 5, 2024 on Crunchyroll. The continuation of the series was announced at the end of Season 1 after the end credits of the last episode. However, as for what Blue Lock Season 2 would entail, and when exactly it would come out, there was little information until early July.  Season one was 24 episodes long, and covered about 90 chapters of the manga. The series ended with the top 35 players having advanced to the Third Selection. Since the first season covered about 90 chapters or about half of the manga’s published content, Blue Lock Season 2 will possibly cover about 90 chapters as well, adapting volumes 12 to 23.  However, Blue Lock Season 2 is also meant to be shorter, only 14 episodes, so they may only get through about half of the volumes. This would p...

Andor Proves One Way Out For Future Star Wars Projects

As most fans know, Disney originally had plans to launch a series of standalone Star Wars films, but the box office failure of the surprisingly decent Solo put those plans on carbonite. Instead, projects like the Obi-Wan Kenobi film and Boba Fett film were repurposed as TV shows on Disney+. Execs thought this sounded like a great way to drive subscriptions to their fledgling streaming service, but this decision ultimately threatened the long-term health of the franchise. What does this story about Star Wars failures have to do with Andor’s success? Despite all of Disney’s efforts, most fans see these new shows as less prestigious and important than theatrical films, even bad films. That’s one reason why the fandom is still arguing about The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker but has large...

Disney Allegedly Hacked For Tons Of Future Project Data

A hacker group who identifies themselves as Nullbulge has claimed that they have infiltrated Disney’s digital security and hacked their systems to gain access to at least 1.1 terabytes of their data. It sounds like the majority of this includes information shared on Disney’s Slack channels, which companies use to exchange messages. Supposedly, in addition to tons of messages, the hackers also gained access to login credentials, personal details of many individuals, concept art, and information on unreleased projects. Nullbulge posted the claim on a hacker forum called Breach Forums. They also took to social media to brag about their haul, using X to say, “Disney has had their entire dev Slack dumped. 1.1 TB of files and chat messages. Anything we could get our hands on, we downloaded and p...

Netflix Horror Master Joins Shudder For Fan-Favorite Franchise

Mike Flanagan has made a name for himself as one of the most creative modern horror directors, so fans are already eagerly anticipating what he will do for the film when it premiers on Shudder. His past work includes movies like Hush, and Doctor Sleep, as well as miniseries such as The Haunting of Hill House, Midnight Mass, and The Fall of the House of Usher. However, Mike Flanagan will not be directing one of the anthology stories for Shudder but rather writing one of the stories on V/H/S/Beyond. It is Flanagan’s wife, Kate Siegel, who will be directing the story in her directorial debut. She previously was on the other side of the camera for acting work on The Fall of the House of Usher, having a history of collaborating with her husband. Source link

Dune: Prophecy Finally Reveals Iconic Actress As Harkonnen

Valya Harkonnen is the leader of the Sisterhood, a group which will inevitably evolve into the faction that the movie fans know better as the Bene Gesserit. Emily Watson will be the lead of Dune: Prophecy alongside Olivia Williams, who plays Valya’s sister Tula Harkonnen. The siblings are adversarial by nature, but work to maintain a unified front for the sake of family and for the good of their people. While many fans may think of the Dune franchise being classics of the sci-fi genre, some might be unaware just how long the books have continued on since the originals created by Frank Herbert. While the original Dune was published in 1963, Dune: Prophecy is actually based off of Sisterhood of Dune, which was published in 2012. Unlike the previous novel, this will mark the first time anyone...

The Hilarious Truth Behind Star Wars’ Greatest Villain

While that first Star Wars film had captivating battles with blasters and lightsabers, the one scene where Carrie Fisher and Peter Cushing interacted together featured a different kind of fight: verbal sparring. As soon as she sees Tarkin, Leia unloads on the guy, saying, “I should have expected to find you holding Vader’s leash. I recognized your foul stench when I was brought on board.” Before this Star Wars scene ends with the destruction of Alderaan, we get to learn more about Peter Cushing’s character thanks to the actor’s chilly (and chilling) line deliveries. He’s the ice to Leia’s fire, and he decides to blow up an entire planet with a truly dispassionate creepiness. Interestingly, though, it was very difficult for Carrie Fisher to find the authentic anger she needed to make this s...
