The show is cute and simple, making it the perfect slice-of-life to watch if that’s what you want. Mr. Villain’s Day Off isn’t a show for everyone, as it comes across as rather slow for those wanting a more action-heavy story. On My Anime List, the show has a 7.26 out of 10 for its average viewer score. Personally, I would have to say Mr. Villain’s Day Off was an alright anime. It was cute and had some interesting parts, but it didn’t do anything to make it stand out to me, even as a slice-of-life.  Source link

Not only was there a new season of the anime released after 10 years, but the manga also provided a pretty amazing storyline. The good news isn’t over yet, though, with Crunchyroll and CloverWorks announcing that yet another arc of the anime is set to come sometime in 2025 and will be known as the “Emerald Witch” arc.  Considering the 10-year gap between the third and fourth seasons of Black Butler, it’s pretty amazing that the new season has already been announced. During a panel for the Black Butler “Public School” arc at Anime Expo, it was revealed that another season is set to come out in 2025. When it comes to the ’80s/’90s cartoons that my generation grew up with, there’s a lot of room for improvement. Many of the shows Gen-X/Millennials grew up with were nothing more than toy commercials thinly disguised as male power fantasies. Some shows, like He-Man and The Masters of the Universe, didn’t bother with the disguise. Don’t get me wrong, it was still a male power fantasy, but the show made no bones about being a platform for Mattel to hawk its cheap plastic figurines. She-Ra, a spinoff of He-Man, was no different, which is why the Netflix reboot was such a breath of fresh air. On paper, this first scene in the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy has most of the elements fans have come to expect from this franchise: a lot of action, a little humor, and a high-stakes struggle between a handful of rebels and a powerful galactic empire. Why, then, do we say this scene is proof that the franchise was doomed? For one thing, the man that Poe is speaking to is never identified onscreen, something made that much more confusing by his acting like an old family friend while talking to Kylo. Sure, it’s always good to see Max von Sydow onscreen, but this scene introduces a frequent Sequel Trilogy problem: empty dialogue meant to sound mysterious and new characters shoehorned in without any explanation. In traditional Star Trek fashion, Kirk makes an impassioned speech to Mirror Spock (the one with the iconic goatee) about the need to reform such an empire, if only because all this fascism was doomed to collapse under its weight eventually. Surprisingly, Deep Space Nine followed up on the Mirror Universe, and while we still never got a look at this dimension’s Earth, we did discover that the Empire had collapsed. In a dark twist, it collapsed specifically because Mirror Spock ended up successfully reforming the Terran Empire, leaving it weak and vulnerable to an unholy Klingon/Cardassian alliance. What, exactly, did Headland say about The Acolyte and Darth Plagueis? In an interview with Nerdist, she was asked point-blank about the Sith Lord–specifically, if she knew “how the whole story of the galaxy far, far away, from The Acolyte to him training Palpatine, connects?” The interviewer admitted that he was a Darth Plagueis fanboy who felt compelled to ask the question because, like many other Star Wars fans, he had been waiting many years for this legendary bad guy to make an appearance. As predictable as it is zany, The Goods succeeds in bringing audiences a ton of comedy stars onto the screen together. David Koechner, Ed Helms, Ken Jeong, Rob Riggle, Alan Thicke, Craig Robinson, Kristen Schaal, and more deliver solid dialogue in a film peppered heavily with one-liners and quotable material. While he’s really only in one scene, Admiral Motti makes a big splash in A New Hope because he’s the ultimate Death Star fanboy.
