Outpost is working on a return system that will collect items previously dumped into space or allowed to burn up upon reentry into the Earth’s atmosphere. Placing the high-tech version of shipping containers in space makes it possible for Outpost to collect items that otherwise would create a debris field orbiting Earth, which creates a constant hazard for space transport systems. Instead of enabling the debris field to grow, Los Angeles-based Outpost intends to use its Ferryall and Carryall spacecraft, that’s about the same size as a shipping container, to collect such items and return them to Earth. I didn’t watch Ninja Scroll when it first came out, which is good, as I was a little young for the subplot of Kagero’s body is so filled with poisons that her kiss can kill a man, but I do remember the multiple ads plastered through the Marvel comics of the day (it was the Age of Apocalypse-era!). As for who did watch it, well, that includes the Wachowskis, who adopted the visual style of the film for The Matrix, which you can see in the flowing trenchcoats and bullet-ballet of the famous lobby shootout. The siblings were so impressed by Ninja Scroll that they brought on its creator and director, Yoshiaki Kawajiri, for The Animatrix, the anime collection of shorts that takes place between the first and second movies. The great thing about Naruto is that it’s a pretty satisfying shonen series from beginning to end. The original anime adapts the first 27 volumes of the manga, which is when Naruto and his fellow ninjas are pre-teens. The first part features some of the most iconic arcs and battles of the series and the pacing is great if you skip over most of the filler episodes. If you love Naruto, then you can take comfort in the fact that Part II of the series, titled Naruto Shippuden, is just as good and finishes the story in a pretty satisfying way. Naruto Shippuden does a quick time skip and follows Naruto and his friends when they’re teenagers. The follow-up managed to up the stakes and make the series a bit more mature, and almost every storyline was wrapped up. Source link

City Hunter takes place in 1980s Tokyo and follows the exploits of private detective Ryo Saeba, who accepts work-for-hire jobs that require his particular set of skills, namely, he’s an expert marksman, a skilled combatant, and a talented driver. He’s also a womanizer, despite his lack of luck with the women of Tokyo, and that usually gets him into trouble, especially with his assistant, Kaori Makimura, who resorts to whacking him with a hammer when he gets carried away. The pair work as “sweepers,” and though normally they butt heads with criminals of all sorts, sometimes they go against other sweepers or people from Ryo’s mysterious past as a guerilla fighter. Take, for example, what is indisputably one of the most divisively received Disney+ streaming series of recent memory, The Acolyte. In the middle of the season came Episode 4 “Day” and Episode 5 “Night.” Both episodes are 35 minutes long, tying for the shortest chapter in the Disney+ streaming series so far. One common complaint about “Day” and “Night” is that the former episode felt too short, and that it was all exposition and build-up to an explosive cliffhanger. “Night,” on the other hand, wound up as one of the most universally embraced entries in the series, largely because of its dynamic and expertly choreographed lightsaber battles. All we know for now is that Deadpool & Wolverine are most likely a multiverse adventure that should somehow connect to the MCU continuity, but the exact mechanics behind that remain unknown for the time being. There’s some involvement from the TVA from Loki, and we can see the iconic duo jumping through one of Doctor Strange’s portals, but how everything connects to the MCU remains unclear, so one of Marvel’s Comic-Con panels is likely to mention a connection between these releases. The Slayers takes place in a magical world set up like a classic Japanese role-playing game, with four schools of magic (Black, Holy, Shamanistic, and White) that draw power from different sources at the center of a simmering cold war between dueling God-like beings. Adding to Marvel’s pains for the upcoming Avengers sequels is the fact that they dropped the actor playing their next big bad Avengers villain, Kang the Conqueror. After Jonathan Majors was convicted of assault and harassment, Marvel dropped him and, presumably, the Kang storyline with him. If the Russo Brothers sign on, they don’t currently have a big bad like Thanos that has been built up as a threat in previous projects. Of course, Marvel will undoubtedly change that and introduce the replacement villain (or replacement actor if the Kang storyline does continue) before the Avengers sequels. Originally, the title of the fifth Avengers movie was Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, but it reportedly will be getting a new name.
