Honda CRF300 Rally – good enough to ride around the world

Now we’ve tried the Rally version, with its uprated headlamp, nice, protective, tall screen and improved wind protection for the rider. It also has a larger, more powerful front brake than the L, as well as handlebar-end weights and removable rubber footpeg inserts to cut vibration. Overall the Rally is around 9 kgs heavier than the L, although much of this is accounted for by the extra fuel. It’s still, of course, lightweight. I had little trouble wheeling it around like a (slightly heavy) bicycle, into a tight parking space on a slope. Source link

The truth about beauty lasers on black and brown skin types

Still, there should never be a one-size-fits all approach — even with this guidance. Moore highlights that a pre-treatment assessment is needed to understand each individual’s skin history and sensitivity — while equal importance must be placed on post-treatment care. "Sun protection and gentle skincare, is key to prevent complications like PIH," he explains, stressing that, "Overall, with LED light therapy for people of colour we need to take a personalised, cautious approach." From party girl to biohacking queen: Hollyoaks star Davinia Taylor on swapping wild nights for wellness

One of them is Ben Greenfield, who stars alongside her in this week's episode of Brave New World. Sharing a panel with him at a quaint, dimly lit conference in the uber-advanced HUM2N clinic near Sloane Square, Taylor is in her element sharing tips on how to live longer while an enraptured audience of doctors and Ladies Who Lunch look on. Also in his element is Greenfield, a deeply religious man who sees biohacking as a saintly, almost messianic duty ("For your soul to be able to bless other people," he tells this paper's proprietor Evgeny Lebedev on the podcast, "you gotta make yourself strong, hard-to-kill, resilient, and with a well-functioning body and mind"). “My vision for health is for every homeless man to one day have a suppository up their butt and stem cell injections for their ...

Meet Cora Delaney London’s savviest influencer whisperer

Delaney is now one of the few women leading a top London creative firm. We are meeting in EYC LTD’s office on Charing Cross Road - a blank white space, when I visit, other than a coffee table stacked with Polaroids of the creators that they work with. They outgrew the premises almost as soon as they moved in last year, Delaney tells me. “We were considering a storefront in Soho but this is practical and was ready for us.” It’s an exciting time for EYC LTD. As well as the record label, they’re getting ready for fashion month - the usual mix of parties and placing their talent at shows, she says. In the past that has included one of their early signings, poet and model Kai Isaiah Jamal, walking for Louis Vuitton, the first black trans model to walk for the brand. “We work with a lot of rappe...

London Fashion Week: 11 wearable trends from the runway

In more unlikely TikTok trends to note, Gen Z are now very much into what their parents wore to work in the Noughties. The new nine to five wardrobe has all the swivel chair staples — pinstripes, white shirts, narrow reading glasses. At Dilara Fındıkoğlu, the Turkish-British emerging designer’s collection, Barbie actor Hari Nef draped herself against church pillars in a banker’s shirt and jacket coiled into a skirt, while the top half was all breast exposing, sheer panelled corset vests and latex gloves. Emilia Wickstead mirrored the 50/50 approach; sweaters and shirts on top, pop-shade, floral embellished mini skirts on the bottom. But it was British-Nigerian designer Tolu Coker who brought her more jovial touch to the fad; grey waistcoats were worn with oversize-striped shirts, cargo tro...

Daniel Lee hits his stride taking Burberry into its indie sleaze era with a confident show

Into the dark came the hefty vocal of Amy Winehouse’s No Good and set the reference point of Britishness which Lee has successfully mined. The casting was on point, tapping into the fashion-faces of that indie sleaze late Noughties era, Agyness Deyn opened the show, Lily Donaldson and Lily Cole (in a skinny leather over the knee boot) both walked (Cole hasn’t been seen on a catwalk for years), as did Jean Campbell, Karen Elson, Lennon Gallagher and Naomi Campbell. Rivetingly, Maya Wigram, daughter of designer Phoebe Philo (whom Lee worked under when she was creative director of Céline) - last spotted at the ES magazine party on Friday night - also walked in the show. All the style from the London Fashion Week and BAFTA parties

While before the Royal Festival Hall main event, some stars including Margot Robbie started early and donned their favourite Chanel sparkles or tweed at the brand’s party with Charles Finch to mark the BAFTAs. Kicking off the weekend was a bash hosted by our very own ES Magazine team at the Savoy to celebrate an epic fashion issue, covered by Beth Ditto. Attendees included everyone from Saltburn’s Archie Madekwe, to Gene Gallagher and model of the moment Kai-Isaiah Jamal. And on Saturday a party by David Koma to celebrate its autumn / winter show saw a host of London’s finest models and DJs don their favourite cutout looks and chic prints from the house. Source link

Barry Keoghan, Timothée Chalamet, Pedro Pascal: Is this the year men overtake women in red carpet dressing?

“I definitely feel men are becoming more confident in what they’re wearing,” says celebrity stylist Jay Hines, who has styled Barry Keoghan, Mads Mikkelsen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Josh O’Connor, Willem Dafoe, Matt Smith and Daniel Caesar. “A lot of straight men are diving into silhouettes they previously may have considered feminine. But a bit of gender fluidity with clients that may not be used to it introduces them to a world of different styles and silhouettes. I think once a lot of people see the clothes on them, the confidence starts to brew from there.”  Source link
