What happened when I tried the new libido-boosting gummies

What happened when I tried the new libido-boosting gummies

Raspberry and peach in flavour (and tasting very nice, actually) the strepsil-sized gummies contain maca root, fenugreek, L-arginine, damiana, Tribulus terrestris, green tea and the ever-cool ashwagandha found in most mushroom supplements. As for the rest of the ingredients, I’ll translate. Fenugreek, Maca Root, Tribulus Terrestris and Damiana are all plants that have clinically shown to support healthy sexual arousal by boosting mood, energy, and a healthy hormone balance. Ashwagandha is believed to significantly improve sleep quality and reduce stress and anxiety. Who doesn’t feel more sexy when they’re not exhausted and stressed?   Source link

Round up, round up! Which celebrities will attend the Democratic National Convention?

Meanwhile an impressive roster of actors are expected to attend, including Kerry Washington and Tony Goldwyn (of Scandal fame, sadly not reprising their romance… I mean roles) who are both expected to host sections of the convention alongside Mindy Kaling, Busy Philipps, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Yvette Nicole Brown, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Danai Gurira, Tim Daly, Uzo Aduba, Anthony Anderson, Iain Armitage, David Cross and Jon Cryer.   Source link

My diet was terrible — at 24 years old I have cut UPFs to avoid early cancer

En route, I tried to pick up a cereal bar. Very hot water. Nature Valley, Nakd and even, ironically, Eat Natural, are all UPFs, despite looking good for you. I have learnt many products are dressed up in this faux-harmless drag. The saviour on the bar front is Deliciously Ella, whose offering is group three, and are the result of Ella Woodward’s research into nutrition after she was diagnosed with Postural Tachycardia Syndrome in 2012. However, while they may not be an UPF, they do have a nutri-score of E, the worst, due to high sugar and saturated fats. They are tasty, though. Urban Fruit’s Gently Baked Mango, level one and nutri-score C, are another snack breakfast I have found myself leaning into. Source link

Kamala Harris: Gen Z-friendly VP, Democratic leader — and first female POTUS?

And just like that: a battle between two elderly male politicians just became a race between an almost-assassinated former president and the first-ever female vice president of the United States. “I will do everything in my power to unite the Democratic Party — and unite our nation — to defeat Donald Trump and his extreme Project 2025 agenda,” Kamala Harris, 59, said last month as she confirmed her bid to be the Democrats’ White House nominee after Joe Biden’s dramatic exit from the 2024 election race. She has now secured that title, stepping onto the stage at this week’s Democratic National Convention as the party’s presidential nominee after Joe Biden’s dramatic exit from the 2024 election race. The former California senator will formally accept the nomination in Chicago on Thursday, af...

I spent a week without looking in a mirror – it was the most liberating thing I’ve ever done

“Shall we get a photo?”, one of my friends suggested. As I scrolled through the pictures afterwards, I realised that, at going on for 5pm, it was the first time I had seen what I looked like all day. Because none of the toilets – and I’m using that word loosely – had mirrors in them, and I didn’t even attempt the two-hour queue for the shower, save for a few selfies, Glastonbury was the longest I’ve ever gone in my adult life without seeing my own reflection. After meticulously planning elaborate outfits, hair and makeup for the five-day festival – and vastly overpacking – I had ended up rolling out of my tent each morning, chucking on whatever was at the top of my rucksack, throwing my hair up and getting on with the day.  Source link
Bubble skirts are the perfect late summer investment piece to add to your wardrobe

Bubble skirts are the perfect late summer investment piece to add to your wardrobe

I have a theory. Whenever you want to predict an upcoming trend, simply look to the fashion archives of the last 50 years and wait until you feel the need to proclaim “That will never come back into fashion!” Then fire up Vinted, because you’ve got next year’s fashion staple sorted. The latest piece of supporting evidence for my theory? Puffball skirts, or ‘bubble’ skirts - the kind you’d see in one of the less-coveted pictures of Princess Diana from the 1980s, a Cyndi Lauper costume, or perhaps a bad sitcom’s take on a retro prom. But now they’re looking perfectly at home on models, influencers and all-round London trendy types setting the standard for the months to come. Luckily not all bubble skirts are made equal, so as much as the mini puffballs are in fashion for these last few warme...

Dorset foodie guide: best restaurants, cafes and bakeries

Enter through a Narnia-like door, up a flight of stairs and all is calm, whitewashed and a little Nordic. This is the new digs of ex Pollen Street Social chef, Mike Naidoo, who’s a deft hand at spinning all coastal treasures (an enormous sea bass, brill, really whatever the fisherman procures), into haute, wholly delicious plates. It has earned him a well-deserved one Michelin star, and put a port town in need of a wee spruce firmly on the foodie map. Expect the usual, spanking fresh salty suspects such as Portland crab dumplings, perfectly-roasted scallops, which are meaty and moreish inside, washed down with local Langham’s wine, of course, rounded off with a light, fluffy New Forest Strawberry Baba. catchattheoldfishmarket.com Source link
