Catastrophic implosion obliterates Titanic submarine

A deep-sea submersible, with a crew of five, on a mission to explore the century-old wreckage of the Titanic, was discovered shattered into fragments due to a "devastating implosion." A tragic incident occurred during the exploration of the century-old wreck of the Titanic, as the deep-sea submersible known as Titan, operated by OceanGate Expeditions, met a devastating end. The United States Coast Guard confirmed that the submersible was discovered in pieces, resulting from a catastrophic implosion that tragically claimed the lives of all five individuals on board. The multinational search effort concluded with the detection of a debris field, including significant remnants of the Titan, near the bow of the Titanic at the remote depths of the North Atlantic. The loss of contact and s...

As we celebrate International Yoga Day in 2023, it is essential to recognize the growing concerns surrounding sedentary lifestyles and their detrimental impact on our health. Incorporating regular physical activity into our daily routine becomes crucial to counteract the adverse effects of prolonged sitting. Yoga offers a holistic approach to combat the sedentary lifestyle by promoting physical movement, flexibility, and mindfulness. Here are some yoga asanas (poses) that can significantly reduce the negative effects of sedentary behavior: Tadasana (Mountain Pose): This foundational pose helps improve posture, strengthens the legs and core, and promotes overall body awareness. Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose): By stretching the spine and opening the chest, this pose counteracts the for...

World Bicycle Day: Cycling is more than a primary mobility option in India

In India, cycling transcends being merely a primary mode of transportation. It plays a crucial role in fostering economic growth, facilitating the swift delivery of essential goods and medicines, and connecting with communities in need. The profound bond between bicycles and the people of India traces its roots back to November 21, 1963. It was on this historic day that India accomplished the remarkable feat of launching the subcontinent's inaugural sounding rocket. This achievement was made possible by the resourcefulness and resilience of the Indian people, who transported rocket parts and payloads from one location to another using bicycles. The National Family Health Survey (NFHS) conducted in 1998-99 revealed that approximately 47.8 percent of the population in India owned bicyc...

Day 7: Change your life

I missed my class again today, but I’m hoping to see better days. I did my meditation then. Now, the first chapter of,’JANE EYRE’: Jane takes us through the abuse she endured as a child. She was abused by her Aunt’s son. Beth seemed like the good one, but one’s gotta do her job. They take Jane to a separate room after Jane talks back to that Aunt’s son. Today was such a tedious day at the gym. I burned, like, more than 350 calories. It won’t be a big deal for you but it is one for me. My trainer was mad at me for taking up so much time, but in my defense, I’d rather take my time than break a few bones or sprain my muscles; I’m a human(Christina Perri’s note) after all. It was a near-death experience. That’s exaggerating, but still. I guess I could slightly feel what famine and drought w...

Day 6: Change your life

I woke up late and missed my class. But I was, sure as hell, not gonna let that be the starter of a domino effect of ruining my whole day’s tasks. I then meditated.   Day 5: Change your life   Today, the book, THE MAGIC OF THINKING BIG’ finally ended. In the 4th rule, Author David Schwartz talks about a valuable habit of leaders: taking the time to be alone with your thoughts. And I utterly agree on this one, because that’s when I made my best decisions. For instance, the idea of creating a blogging site popped into my head whilst such a lapse of solitude; and it worked out pretty well for me. He gave some practical examples that he conducted with his people. Then I went to the gym. Today was my leg workout training, full of squats, lunges, lunges with weights, and...

Day 5: Change your life

Woke up as usual. Early. And stayed 15 mins in the sunlight. Exposure to sunlight is thought to increase the brain’s release of a hormone called serotonin. Serotonin is associated with boosting mood and helping a person feel calm and focused. And I’ve also started drinking water from a copper utensil. It’s healthy and to drink it the first thing in the morning removes toxins. https://news.shreestar.com/day-4-change-your-life/ I signed up for this 30-day mindfulness challenge, so will be foin that program daily. In today’s rule, Author David Schwartz talks about Rule no 3 of being an ideal leader: THINK PROGRESS, BELIEVE IN PROGRESS, PUSH FOR PROGRESS. He explains how contentment is fine, but one should always seek progress with the example of three men and that he had to advise to ...

Lower Death Risk in People With Diabetes Who Drink Green Tea and Coffee Daily

Drinking plenty of both green tea and coffee is linked to a lower risk of dying from any cause among people with type 2 diabetes, suggests research published in the online journal BMJ Open Diabetes Research & Care. Drinking 4 or more daily cups of green tea plus 2 or more of coffee was associated with a 63% lower risk of death over a period of around 5 years, the findings show. People with type 2 diabetes are more prone to circulatory diseases, dementia, cancer, and bone fractures. And despite an increasing number of effective drugs, lifestyle modifications, such as exercise and diet, remain a cornerstone of treatment. Previously published research suggests that regularly drinking green tea and coffee may be beneficial for health because of the various bioactive compounds thes...

Day 4: Change your life

I woke up at 7:38 AM today. What a shame! I should be thrown into jail for so many strikes. But if you woke early since day one or even just for today, I’m proud of you. Keep excelling. Did a 17 mins meditation although, I promised a 30 mins meditation. In my defense, still learning. I read the second rule: ‘What is the Human way to handle this?’ of chapter 13 of ‘THE MAGIC OF THINKING BIG’. Author David Schwartz asks us not to become a dictator or a rule-book nerd. He introduces and expands the concept of ‘Being Human’, giving a remarkable example of John. The way John treats his employees- remembering and celebrating their birthdays, specific holidays for minorities and, especially, job security for the employees wins him their loyalty. I ate a pomegranate and went to the gym. Then...
