Nikita Dutta has been a history buff since childhood. So, when Ram Madhvani’s The Waking of a Nation came her way, she knew she had to be part of it. Even when the filmmaker mentioned the ‘no grooming clause’ for the character, she agreed without hesitation. The Waking of a Nation revolves around the Hunter Commission, which is an investigation of the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Oscar-winner Gene Hackman, his wife and one of their dogs were apparently dead for some time before a maintenance worker discovered their bodies at the couple’s Santa Fe home, investigators said. Hackman, 95, was found dead Wednesday in an entryway, and his 65-year-old wife, Betsy Arakawa, was found in a bathroom next to a space heater, Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office detectives wrote in a search warrant affidavit. Academy Award-winning film director James Cameron says his New Zealand citizenship is “imminent” and is hinting at plans to relocate to the country permanently to escape Donald Trump’s second term in the White House.
