Stephen Colbert had some choice words for U.S. President Donald Trump during Monday’s opening monologue on The Late Show, following the news of the show’s cancellation. The show will end in May 2026.
“Over the weekend it sunk in that they’re killing off our show but they made one mistake: they left me alive,” Colbert said, looking directly into the camera.“And now for the next 10 months, the gloves are off.
