Interestingly, though a decline in ratings was the reason the series was canceled, according to Rotten Tomatoes, Witches of East End actually did better in the second season, according to the average viewers. Season 1 had an average audience member score of 83 percent and a critic score of 71 percent, while Season 2 had a 90 percent audience score and a 60 percent critic score. Many people were frustrated by the cancellation of Witches of East End. After the announcement in 2014, a petition went around to renew the series, which has nearly 300,000 signatures. #RenewWitchesofEastEnd became a popular tag on Twitter, and even a few celebrities like Channing Tatum, William Shatner, and Snooki got involved, though the petitions haven’t yet led anywhere. Since much time has passed since the release of The Shining, it was assumed that all sets used for the Overlook Hotel were destroyed. However, Elstree Studios, a generic term for demolished British film studios in or around Elstree in Hertfordshire, England, had been hanging on to the final remaining site this whole time. Katharina Kubrick, Stanley Kubrick’s daughter, had this to say about The Shining documentary, “The production of The Shining has been well documented and analyzed, but this is a story which has never been told. Pivotal scenes from the film took place in these areas, so going back to them felt like stepping into the movie itself.”  Source link

Unlike most legal dramas which focus on high-powered attorneys and legal procedure, The Rainmaker has a much more grim and gritty feel. Bruiser is unapologetically sleazy with his legal practices, and Rudy is involved in covering up the murder of an abusive husband. Even the movie’s court scenes are far from predictable, with a judge’s sudden mid-trial heart attack being a pivotal plot point.  Part of what makes The Rainmaker such a noteworthy movie is the incredible talent assembled to make it. The cast includes Matt Damon, Danny DeVito, Claire Danes, Jon Voight, Dean Stockwell, Virginia Madsen, Mickey Rourke, Roy Scheider, and Danny Glover. Of course, Sailor Moon Crystal had to correct the worst sin of the original anime, and that’s finally, Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune are shown on-screen as a couple. As a young anime fan in the 90s, one of the first things you learned as a rite of passage is that Sven in Voltron was brutally killed in the original anime, and not “sent to a hospital upstate to recover,” but the second thing we all learned, is that Uranus and Neptune were sanitized to be “close friends” instead of a couple. To say that the reboot is an improvement is an understatement. Their relationship wasn’t just for attention at the time; it was a major part of the story, and now it can be shown as originally intended without artistic compromises. Kiefer Sutherland portrayed Jack Bauer, whose usual missions mostly came down to running around LA and preventing various terrorist threats, such as nuclear explosions, from happening. Each of the series’ seasons depicts 24 hours in real-time, with each of 24 episodes depicting one hour of the previously mentioned 24. Considering the format, we’re really curious as to how the upcoming 24 movie is going to adapt the series narrative without losing detail, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves with too much speculation. In The Remarried Empress, Navier is an empress. The Stranger tells the story of a rideshare driver named Claire as she picks up a man late at night during her shift. She’s new to the area and eager to make some money. What she doesn’t realize is that her passenger, Carl, has been targeting her and will now take her on one of the most terrifying 12-hour fights for survival ever. If you feel you’ve somehow watched this movie despite it coming out this year, you might just be right. Interestingly, The Strangers was originally a series of 13 short episodes on Quibi in 2020 before the streaming service was absorbed by Roku. Quibi had one nice feature going for it, which is that after two years, the original creators of media on the platform were allowed to retain ownership of their work, which allowed The Stranger to be recut into a movie. ...
