In the 16 years since The House Bunny premiered, Anna Faris has gone on to star in numerous other projects, including Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakuel, The Dictator, The Emoji Movie, and, of course, her long-running CBS sitcom Mom, which ran from 2013 through 2020. While each of these projects highlights Faris’ talents in its own way, fans would surely be overjoyed to see her returning to the leading position of a House Bunny 2 movie, especially if it means ratcheting up the stakes as a CIA interrogator. Despite the success of Walk the Line, it was also an immediate target of mockery, most notably by the 2007 parody Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, which I consider one of the greatest movies ever made. While Walk Hard is a parody of music biopics in general, it most directly pokes fun at Walk the Line and Ray, the 2004 Ray Charles movie. It was a direct response to the genre’s rise, mocking the fact they’d fallen into a predictable structure with each film following the same predictable story beats about infidelity, addiction, and tumultuous relationships with fathers.  Source link

The Walt Disney film, Race to Witch Mountain, was mainly marketed towards young audiences despite it being a reboot of a franchise most of their parents grew up with. I was probably an outlier in the fact that I was a child familiar with the original. However, a large selling point to the kids unaware of the source material was the cast, specifically that of AnnaSophia Robb and Dwayne Johnson. By 2009, the release year of Race to Witch Mountain, every elementary schooler already had some sort of obsession with AnnaSophia Robb and/or Dwayne Johnson. Near the beginning of “Act of Contrition,” the pilot Flat Top has completed his thousandth deck landing, and other pilots have come down to the hangar to help him celebrate. Everybody is too busy celebrating to notice a drone breaking from its restraints, and after its motor is activated, it flies right into Flat Top and the pilots around him, killing 13 people when it explodes.
