Arnold Schwarzenegger`s action-comedy series Fubar shelved after two seasons

Actor-politician Arnold Schwarzenegger`s action-comedy series `Fubar` has been cancelled after two seasons by Netflix, reported Variety. After a successful first season in 2023, the series apparently did not get the expected momentum during its second season, which premiered on June 12, following a gap of two years after its initial run. The show had a good start in the initial weeks after its premiere, but then it fell off the chart the following week, according to Variety. The logline of the series stated, "Luke Brunner is a veteran CIA operative who, up until recently, was on the verge of retirement. After his last mission in saving another operative, who just so happened to be his daughter, he`s back and face to face with new villains. This one is an old flame from Luke`s past who t...

Psoriasis may cause arthritis; damage joints if ignored: Experts

Psoriasis, the autoimmune skin condition, can also affect the joints, leading to psoriatic arthritis, which may cause severe joint damage if not diagnosed and treated on time, warn experts. Psoriasis causes inflammation in the skin, resulting in dry, itchy, scaly patches, primarily on the scalp, elbows, knees, or lower back. This happend because the body’s immune system becomes overactive, causing an overproduction of skin cells. However, in some people, the same immune reaction also attacks the joints, leading to psoriatic arthritis. Speaking on the condition, Dr Shafiuddin Nadvi, orthopedic surgeon at Apollo Spectra Hospital in Mumbai, states, “Psoriatic arthritis is often missed or misdiagnosed because patients assume their joint pain is unrelated to their skin condition. Three in 10...

How to Turn Off Instagram’s Map Feature

This week, Instagram rolled out its new "map" feature, which lets users share their last active location with followers. About five minutes later, all hell broke loose. Many on the internet quickly criticized the feature for its lack of concern for user safety, while others posted warnings that they seemingly had the feature turned on automatically. "Why did a fan DM me warning me that they could see my precise location as [I] was asleep at the house" is not the kind of buzz you want if you're Instagram. The good news is this feature very likely isn't not set to turn on automatically. The bad news is you've probably already shared your location to the map without realizing it—just not in the way you're thinking. Instagram says it is not turning on your live location automaticallyDespite po...

Study shows AI chatbots can blindly repeat incorrect medical details

Amid increasing presence of Artificial Intelligence tools in healthcare, a new study warned that AI chatbots are highly vulnerable to repeating and elaborating on false medical information.  Researchers at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, US, revealed a critical need for stronger safeguards before such tools can be trusted in health care. The team also demonstrated that a simple built-in warning prompt can meaningfully reduce that risk, offering a practical path forward as the technology rapidly evolves. "What we saw across the board is that AI chatbots can be easily misled by false medical details, whether those errors are intentional or accidental," said lead author Mahmud Omar, from the varsity. "They not only repeated the misinformation but often expanded on it, offerin...

‘Primal Movement’ Workouts Are My New Favorite (Weird) Way to Exercise for Free on YouTube

We may earn a commission from links on this page. Every day, we have the opportunity to learn new things. A few days ago, I learned more about primal movement, an exercise style I've seen around in my years of gym-going and YouTube browsing, but never interrogated further. Like cycling and Pilates, you can take in-person classes in this technique, but you can also just log into the video-sharing behemoth and find some free, guided workouts. What is primal movement?Primal movement feels more like play than punishment, which is a helpful way to reframe things if you struggle to enjoy exercise. Essentially, it's a bodyweight exercise that emphasizes movements like crawling, squatting, lunging, rolling, and balancing, which can make you feel a bit like a toddler or a littl...

Healthy habits can slash future risks to women`s heart with gestational diabetes

While gestational diabetes is known to affect the heart, women who follow healthy habits like proper weight, diet, and no alcohol or tobacco are 86 per cent less likely to experience any future risks to heart, according to a global study.  Gestational diabetes -- a condition characterised by elevated blood sugar during pregnancy -- remains one of the most common pregnancy complications worldwide. The research found that women who adopted a long-term commitment to a combination of five healthy lifestyle behaviours -- maintaining a healthy weight, not smoking, regular physical activity, eating a high-quality diet, and moderate alcohol intake -- reduced their risk of developing cardiovascular disease (CVD) by up to 86 per cent compared to those who did not adopt any of these habits. Remark...

How Trump’s judicial picks could reshape abortion rights for decades – National

A review by The Associated Press shows that several of President Donald Trump’s nominees to the federal courts have revealed anti-abortion views, been associated with anti-abortion groups or defended abortion restrictions. Several have helped defend their state’s abortion restrictions in court and some have been involved in cases with national impact, including on access to medication abortion. While Trump has said issues related to abortion should be left to the states, the nominees, with lifetime appointments, would be in position to roll back abortion rights long after Trump leaves the White House.Trump has been inconsistent on abortionTrump has repeatedly shifted his messaging on abortion, often giving contradictory or vague answers. In the years before his most recent presidential campa...
