Jim Sarbh goes bald to play Xerxes Desai in Made in India

Robbie Grewal has high praise for Naseeruddin Shah and Jim Sarbh. The reason? The actors leave little for the director to do on set. They come so well prepared that the filmmaker can sit back and let them interpret the story, get into character physically and mentally, and put their best foot forward. That is exactly what he did when he adapted Vinay Kamath’s book Titan: Inside India’s Most Successful Consumer Brand into a six-episode series, Made in India — A Titan Story. The series chronicles Titan’s journey from its establishment in 1984, when Jehangir Ratanji Dadabhoy Tata, insulted by a Swiss watch company, hired Xerxes Desai to create a new watch brand made entirely in India. JRD Tata and Xerxes Desai “It’s a compelling story and a part of history, so we wanted to make it,” says Gr...

`Mental well-being central to preventing rising heart disease in India`

Mental well-being is central to preventing chronic and non-communicable diseases, especially heart disease, experts said on Friday.  India has recently seen a significant rise in the number of heart diseases, especially among young adults and even children. “If we want to address India’s heart health crisis, we need to shift from a curative mindset to cultivating genuine health-seeking behaviour across our families, schools, and communities,” said Rajesh Bhushan, former Secretary, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, at a city-based event held ahead of the World Heart Day on September 29. The expert urged the need for integrating mental health into the healthcare regimen. He also urged schools to foster mental well-being in children. “Alongside regular exercise and stress management,...

By default, trackers steal a lot of your data while you browse the web, but simple settings can block a lot of those trackers from functioning. As it turns out, by updating to iOS 26, your iPhone gets an upgraded tool against tracking. The feature, called Advanced Tracking and Fingerprinting Protection, is an option in Safari that hides certain browser and device data trackers typically use to build a digital "fingerprint" of users.
