The role of glutathione is so important that experts have nicknamed it, ‘‘the king of antioxidants.’’ Glutathione is a tripeptide — a compound made up of three amino acids (cysteine, glucose and glutamic acid), and although it is naturally synthesised by the body, it is also readily available in certain food sources, which brings us to our next point. These are the diet rules to follow… Source link

The New Vaccines to Get in 2024

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is recommending new vaccines for adults and kids in 2024, according to its latest annual guidelines finalized Jan. 11. The CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), a collection of medical and public-health experts who regularly review evidence and research about vaccines, compiled the new guidelines. Like it does every year, ACIP recommends that American adults receive an annual flu shot and several standard vaccinations, such as those for chickenpox (if they haven’t had it already) and tetanus. For infants and children, the pediatric immunization plan that includes shots such as the measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine remains mostly the same. However, the 2024 schedule has some notable changes. British Library cyber attack explained — and its devastating consequences

For now, while there are students brushing up for exams in the halls, academics across the UK who want the BL's core services are struggling. Writer Dr Dick McCaw, a reader in performance practices at Royal Holloway University, has been using the library for decades, and written six books here. “I’m starting to do my research for the next book. And to be honest with you, I have no idea how I’m going to get hold of this stuff,” he says. Phoebe Day, 25, is doing an art history PhD, and says while her work has been delayed, it's not as bad as some of her friends who ...

Killer Soup review: A delicious dark comedy saved by Konkona Sensharma | Web Series

Swathi (Konkona Sensharma) has been trying to open her own restaurant for a while now. She is an inept cook obsessed with serving paya soup to her husband Prabhakar ‘Prabhu’ Shetty (Manoj Bajpayee). Yet, both of them are conning each other in vastly shocking ways, that complicates matters to a breaking point. Things go horribly, insanely wrong in a lot of ways in Killer Soup, Abhishek Chaubey's new series on Netflix, which seems to revel in stirring the nastiest of humour and secrets churning underneath. The aftertaste lands- even though a lot of hiccups occur in-between. But, what a deliciously wicked and entertaining show this is, one that needs to savoured with full attention.
