Since Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool & Wolverine is simultaneously a Deadpool sequel, the first Deadpool movie in the MCU, and the first R-rated MCU movie in general, it has a lot of box office draw. That draw only intensified when Hugh Jackman was revealed to be returning as Wolverine early on in the marketing campaign, eventually making his way onto the title card. There’s also the fact that the movie looks like it’ll have massive implications for the storyline of the MCU going forward, so there’s probably going to be quite a few kids secretly catching the movie just to be caught up. A few years ago, Scarlett Johansson got into a legal battle with Disney over a guarantee she had that the Black Widow movie would have a period of exclusivity in theaters but then Disney put it on Disney+ for streaming at the same time. Having violated their agreement, Johansson successfully sued Disney. The minds behind the shows that HBO has moved from exclusively being on Max might have had similar preferences. Regardless, with Max now losing exclusivity for so many of the big-name shows it had coming out, it will be curious to see what use HBO sees in Max for the long haul. Source link

NASA will also be taking advantage of this opportunity with its OSIRIS-APEX mission, which plans to meet the asteroid shortly after its pass of Earth. OSIRIS-REx, the spacecraft had previously spent the past several years following the asteroid Bennu and successfully delivered NASA’s first asteroid sample collected from space. Since its collection capsule was already used for Bennu, for Apophis the craft will use its gas thrusters to kick up dust and small rocks. Though at first the asteroid’s size and trajectory invoked fear now that most risk has been ruled out scientists across the world look forward to April 2029. There’s no doubt in my mind that a substantial amount of creative liberties were taken to make Mindhunter as compelling of a series at it could possibly be, but it’s the kernels of truth that are folded into the narrative that make it a flawless series nonetheless. Throughout Mindhunter’s two-season run, Special Agent Holden Ford becomes obsessed with learning about the mind of the nations most notorious serial killers, and he does so by interviewing the likes of Edmund Kemper (brilliantly portrayed by Cameron Britton), Charles Manson (Damon Herriman), and David Berkowitz (Olive Cooper), to name a few. Whatever artistic license was used to create fictional analogs to the real-life Special Agents depicted in Mindhunter can be forgiven because the interviews that take place in each episode ...

Currently, Glen Powell stars in the movie Twisters, released July 17th. The recently released film is a remake of the 1996 film of the same title. Counting Top Gun: Maverick this makes The Running Man Glen Powell’s third reboot project. Since each has been met with a pretty generous reception, we hope that will continue to be true for the King adaptation.  Aside from what information Glen Powell leaked about The Running Man to IndieWire, no following news has come out about the project. Since filming has not even begun, we can assume that we’ll have a bit of a wait before it hits theaters.
