Asia Cup 2023: The 16th iteration of the Asia Cup is set to commence from August 30 to September 17, with Pakistan and Sri Lanka serving as joint hosts. Initially slated for 2021, the Asia Cup 2023 had to be rescheduled due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

This edition of the Asia Cup will mark the inaugural occurrence of a multi-country event following the pandemic. The tournament’s schedule encompasses four matches to be held in Pakistan and the remaining nine matches to be contested in Sri Lanka.

The opening match of the Asia Cup 2023 is set to take place between Pakistan and Nepal on August 30 at the Multan Cricket Stadium in Multan.

The highly anticipated clash between arch-rivals India and Pakistan is scheduled for September 2 in Kandy. Joining them in the group is newcomer Nepal.

The Asia Cup 2023 will follow a Round-robin and knockout format, featuring a total of 13 matches, culminating in the Final. The six participating teams will be split into two groups of three teams each.

The tournament comprises 6 group matches, from which the leading 2 teams in each group will progress to the Super Four round.

Subsequently, there will be 6 matches in the Super Four stage, with each team engaging in 3 matches against the remaining 3 teams within the Super Four grouping.

The two highest-ranking teams in the Super Four points table will secure their spots in the ultimate showdown – the Final match.
