JEE Advanced 2023: The JEE Advanced 2023 Paper-II, conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, was concluded on June 4th. The Paper-I had taken place earlier in the day, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. According to student feedback, Paper-I was considered moderate, with Mathematics being the most challenging subject among the three.
The JEE Advanced 2023 came to a close today with the completion of the Paper-II examination, which took place from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Normally, the top 2.5 lakh candidates from JEE Main qualify for the Advanced exam. However, for the Advanced 2023, only 1.96 lakh students had registered, out of which approximately 44,000 were female candidates.
Earlier in the day, IIT Guwahati conducted the Advanced Paper-I, which students found to be well-balanced and moderate in difficulty. Mathematics was noted as the lengthiest and most challenging section compared to Physics and Chemistry. Based on initial student reactions following the completion of JEE Advanced Paper-II, the overall difficulty level of the exam ranged from moderate to difficult. Paper-II was considered more tricky and challenging than Paper-I.
JEE Advanced 2023 Paper-II: Section-wise Difficulty Level According to one student who exited the examination center, there were a total of 51 questions. Physics and Chemistry were deemed moderate, while Mathematics proved to be challenging. Another student named Akash mentioned, “Chemistry was moderate, and most questions were from the Class 11 syllabus. On the other hand, Mathematics consisted mainly of questions from the Class 12 syllabus.”
A different student remarked, “Paper-I was easier compared to Paper-II. Mathematics and Chemistry were moderate, while Physics was easy. I am expecting a score between 90-100.” (Stay tuned with us for live updates for the latest analysis on JEE Advanced Paper-II)
