The State Bank of India (SBI) has officially declared the results of the SBI PO 2023 Preliminary examination today on its official website, sbi.co.in. Aspirants who participated in the bank probationary officer recruitment exam can view their results on the aforementioned website.

Candidates who successfully clear the Prelims examination will progress to the next phase of the recruitment process, which is the SBI PO Main exam. The Main exam is scheduled to take place on December 5, 2023, and will be conducted in an online format. Similar to the Prelims, the admit cards for the Main exam are anticipated to be released approximately a week before the scheduled date.

It is crucial to note that while the Preliminary exam serves as the first phase, the final selection of candidates is based on the Main exam (Phase 2) and the subsequent Group Discussion/Interview (Phase 3), totaling 300 marks. The scores from the Preliminary exam are not considered in the creation of the final merit list.

The final selection process involves a detailed evaluation, as outlined in the table below:

Test Main Exam GD/Interview Total
Maximum Marks 250 50 300
Normalized Marks 75 25 100

Candidates’ marks in the Main Examination (out of 250) and Interview/Group Exercises (out of 50) are normalized to a total of 100 marks (75 and 25, respectively). The final merit list is generated based on these aggregated marks out of 100, and selection is determined by the top-ranked candidates in each category.

The different stages of the selection process include the Preliminary exam, followed by the Main exam, which comprises both an objective test (200 marks) and a descriptive test (50 marks). The Main exam covers subjects such as Reasoning and Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis and Interpretation, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, and English Language. After the Main exam, a merit list will be created, leading to the shortlisting of candidates for the Group Discussion and Interview stage.

Ultimately, candidates are selected based on their performance in the Main exam and the Group Discussion/Interview, marking the final phase of the SBI PO 2023 Selection Process.
